Mission Statement

 

Peer Choices is designed on the Michigan Cooperative model started in Jackson, Michigan. The purpose of Peer Choices is to allow consumers of mental health services to pool their resources and collectively influence choice, control, and quality of the services and supports they receive. It also offers consumers the opportunity to support each other and share in the use of some resources. The Mission of Peer Choices is to provide a member-owned alternative that offers opportunities that promote member partnerships for improved choice and control to achieve quality of life. Key values held by members of the Peer Choices Leadership Team include:

 

* reduce the stigma of people with mental illness

* empower the individuals we serve

* prompt peer run and peer delivered services

* educate members for improved quality of life
